A Leafy Green Diet!

I read an article about the importance of fiber in our diet and how it lowers our risk of disease. I knew green veggies are good for you but didn't make the connection that we got fiber by eating tons of green, leafy vegetables. Our society is overcome with disease and illness. What we eat plays a role in how we feel and look and the article went on to say that it also plays a role in reducing mens strokes. The problem is green vegetables aren't always the best flavored side dishes and kids aren't always excited about eating KALE for dinner. Maybe introducing these foods at an early age instead of sweets will make a difference? They also talked about how important fruit is in our diet. Fruit also contains carbohydrates and gives the body the right kind of fuel. Other countries such as India were mentioned and it was pointed out that this country eat primarily fruits and vegetables, and they are healthier then ours. Is America just a fast food capital and slowing dyeing because of what we eat? All I think we can do is make individual changes and research health so that we know more about healthy food choices.
